I'm a teacher, and I show my students a Daily Dose video each day at the start of class while they're getting settled/getting their materials out. When there aren't new ones, I just scroll back a bit and find one to show them. This is how I know the employee jumping in the sink was featured before. @Afqy He's right Afqy. Dogs and most other social mammals recognize unfairness and react accordingly. This is something obvious to anyone who spends time actually observing animals. Cats, on the other hand, couldn't care less as long as they get theirs. It doesn't apply to all animals but it definitely does to dogs.

That’s a Stand Up Paddleboarder, not a surfer, there’s a pretty big difference since Paddleboarders usually paddle pretty near the shore unless if you’re a chad and decide to paddle out into the sea.

At a wild guess, I'd say there's about 1.5 metres of water below them, variable with the waves & impossible to tell for sure, but looks to be about that from the person when they're in the water & the wave behaviour. That's ample space to swim under, but with the disturbance to the sand at the bottom that occurs with waves, the dolphin would get a sand blasting to it's upper face & back if it tried to do a tumbleturn in that depth to go back the other way, without turning in a sideways direction that would risk hitting the other dolphins. It is also enough space to swim under, if it is clear as to what is ahead, but if it's not totally clear & worried about leg ropes etc in the water or a potential trailer type something attached to the board, the most logical immediate response would be to go the opposite way to the other dolphins, out of the air & clear. I'm not ruling out the dolphin potentially just being a duck (with an i), just saying a smart human in that situation would likely jump up too in response to it, so the dolphin absolutely could have just been taken by surprise & reacted as such

@Me Here Thank you for confirming that aussies of your particular variety can only imagine everything upside down and seem to lack a basic understanding of body dimensions. Dolphin fins do not retract into the body when they turn upside down and "going forward underwater" basically means you admit they did dive below the surfboard with enough clearance to swim past. Real roundabout way of agreeing with what I said.

@Adnan B. the others just keep going forward underwater, they don't have to flip upsidedown underwater to avoid an obstacle. & thanks for confirming you're not an Aussie & so I guess that's why you can't read the surf at all to see things like sandbars huh?

You can't see how close it is to shore, but the consistent behaviour of the waves at that location tells me there's a sandbar there, so on what do you base your assessment that it's deep enough? I cannot see anything in the video that says there's enough information to draw that conclusion
